Parrikar receives high praise from PM Modi for Agusta speech

"Yesterday's speech by Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar in the Rajya Sabha was one of the best speeches, displaying best parliamentary traditions," wrote Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Twitter today.

Yesterday, Parrikar tore into the Congress over the AgustaWestland chopper deal. Parrikar claimed that the government was probing the names of people who received bribes and were named by an Italian court.

The country wants to know who instigated, supported and benefited from corruption. We cant let this pass, said Parrikar.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi further went on to write, "Parrikar rose above politics and placed all relevant facts on the table. Urging you all to hear his speech."
