Pranav Pandya nominated to Rajya Sabha

Head of All World Gayatri Parivar, Pranav Pandya has been nominated to Rajya Sabha by the Narendra Modi government.

President Pranab Mukherjee has nominated the 65-year-old Pandya to the Upper House following a recommendation by the central government.

Pandya is the 7th persons nominated by the Modi government to the Rajya Sabha after six members -- Subramanian Swamy, Narendra Jadhav, Navjot Singh Sidhu, Suresh Gopi, Swapan Dasgupta and Mary Kom took oath as the new Rajya Sabha member on April 23.
