Parrikar to place 'facts' about Agusta deal in RS today

Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar will make a statement on the controversial AgustaWestland chopper deal in the Rajya Sabha today, during which he will place all the facts in chronological order before the House.

Parrikar, who met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday, is expected to address the Rajya Sabhaat 2 pm during the short duration debate.

Parrikar, had on Monday in Panaji, said his Parliament address would include how and when necessary clauses or provisions were relaxed to suit the company.

Leader of the Congress in Lok Sabha, Mallikarjun Kharge, had earlier on Monday accused the Centre of pursuing a politically motivated campaign to defame the grand old party through theAgustaWestland copter scam.
