Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi has told the Supreme Court that the Centre is seriously considering the court's suggestion to hold a floor test in Uttarakhand.

A bench comprising Justices Dipak Misra and Shiva Kirti Singh had yesterday asked the Centre to explore the feasibility of holding a floor test in Uttarakhand assembly under court's supervision.

The court asked the attorney general to take instructions from the Centre in this regard and respond to the court today.

The AG told the apex court that he has conveyed it to the Centre but has not received any instruction so far.

The SC adjourned the hearing on Centre's plea against Uttarakhand high court order revoking President's till May 6.
