Sharif cancels US visit due to Lahore attack

Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif today cancelled his upcoming visit to the United States where he was scheduled to attend the Nuclear Security Summit later this week in the backdrop of the deadly terror attack in

Lahore.

Sharif was due to visit Washington to participate in the fourth Nuclear Security Summit on March 31 hosted by US President Barack Obama.

"Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has cancelled his upcoming visit to the United States," Radio Pakistan tweeted minutes before Sharif's address to the nation.
