Dr K K Paul, governor of Uttarakhand, was in constant touch with New Delhi on Friday last, after a senior Union minister spoke to him about the possibility of Article 356 being invoked in the state.

Interestingly, government sources had also alerted the secretary to the President, Omita Paul. That was to avoid a misunderstanding not only between the government and the President's secretariat but also between Dr KK Paul and his wife Omita -- who happens to play two roles."Yeh toh ghar khi baat hai," commented a senior BJP functionary.
