1 soldier missing after avalanche hit army post in Kargil

Two soldiers who were on surveillance duty in Kargil, J&K were washed away in the avalanche. One soldier was rescued while search and rescue operation was on for the other. The avalanche was triggered by mild earthquake that hit the army post located at an altitude of 17500 feet.
