Supreme Court directs Subramanian Swamy to amend his petition challenging Jet-Etihad deal. The Supreme Court also asks Swamy to make Air India, IndiGo, SpiceJet as parties in the Jet-Etihad petition. The hearing is on July 29.

Swamy had filed petition seeking to quash the deal on the ground that it was against public interest as there has been squandering of natural resource, that is the sky and airspace.

Swamy also earlier sought a CBI probe against government officials who had cleared the deal, while questioning governments decision to execute the agreement in favour of Abu Dhabi under the existing Air Service Agreement between the governments of India and United Arab Emirates.

The apex court had on December 6, 2013 made it clear that it would quash the Jet-Etihad Airways deal if any irregularities were found in it.
