Chaggan Bhujbal's arrest comes up for discussion in the Maharashtra Assembly. CM Devendra Fadnavis says Bhujbal has been arrested by the Enforcement Directorate on the basis of evidence found in the investigation against him.


Fadnavis tells the Assembly, "Hum badle ki karyavahi nahi karte hain. Agar koi ghotaala hua hai toh kya jaanch agencies haath pe haath daalkar baithe rahenge? We do not believe in the politics of vendetta. But if there is a scam, should investigative agencies sit around and do nothing?"
