5 dead, several hurt in shooting near Pittsburgh

At least five people have been killed and three others wounded in a shooting late Wednesday in a suburb outside Pittsburgh, a county official said. Lt Andrew Schurman of the Allegheny County homicide unit confirmed early Thursday that four women and one man were killed in the shooting at a house on Franklin Ave.

He said four people were dead on arrival and four others were transported to the hospital.One person died from their injuries in the hospital and the conditions of three others ranged from crtical to stable, Schurman said.
