Kanhaiya's granddad files case against 2 offering reward to kill JNUSU leader

A case has been filed against two leaders in Bihar's Begusarai court for offering a reward to kill or cut out the tongue of Jawaharlal Nehru University president Kanhaiya Kumar. Kanhaiya's grandfather Bal Krishna Singh filed the case in the CJM court in Begusarai district against Bhartiya Janata Yuva Morcha leader Kuldeep Varshney and Poorvanchal sena president Adarsh Sharma.

The court will hear the case on Wednesday.

"By calling Kanhaiya an anti-national, they haven't just personally hurt me, but also also insulted me," petitioner Singh said.

Singh said that he has approached the court to seek justice in connection with terming his grand son as anti-national and action against two of them who have threatened his life and offered reward.

Kuldeep Varshney,president of BJYM ,Badaun in Uttar Pradesh, last week announced a reward of Rs 5 lakh to anyone cutting off Kanhaiya's tongue and Sharma announced a reward of RS 11 lakh for killing Kanhaiya.

After this, Varshney was suspended from the BJP 's primary membership for six years and Sharma was arrested in Delhi.
