Mehbooba to chair meet over govt formation in J-K today

President Mehbooba Mufti has called a Legislature Party meeting today in Srinagar to decide on the government formation in the state.

Earlier, the PDP had indicated to continue the alliance with BJP and that it will go ahead with if the Agenda of Alliance framed under the leadership of former chief minister Late Mufti Sayeed was implemented in letter and spirit.

Mehbooba had said that the party will take a call on government formation as and when it was confident that the vision and mission of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed will be carried forward and implemented with the clear support of BJP.

Former state deputy chief minister Nirmal Singh had said both the BJP and the PDP were on same page, adding that the agenda of alliance is still intact.
