Army foils infiltration bid, kills 1 militant

The army has foiled an infiltration bid on the Line of Control in north Kashmir's Kupwara district and gunned down a militant.

A defence spokesman this evening said two army troopers were also injured in the ongoing operation in the Keran sector of the LoC.

He said the injured troopers were evacuated to hospital for treatment and their condition is stable.

One militant has been killed and one weapon recovered, the spokesman said. The operation is on, he added
