Speaking in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday, Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi launched a scathing attack on the Narendra Modi government over the issues of price-rise, Rohith Vemula's suicide and JNU row.

"Modiji had promised that he will put people with black money behind bars, now they have come up with way to save those people," Rahul said in Parliament.

"Before elections Modiji said dal is 70 Rs/kg and he promised to bring down prices, but now dal is 200 Rs/kg," he said.

Taking a dig at the ruling party, he said, "You know everything. You never commit a mistake. We commit mistakes and learn from them."

Rahul said that Make in India failed to provide jobs to people which the Prime Minister promised.

Speaking on the suicide of Dalit student Rohith Vemula, Rahul said, "Modiji did not call up Rohith Vemula's mother nor did he even speak on the issue."

Supporting the JNU students, he said that 60 per cent students of the JNU are from Dalit, OBC and minorities communities.l
