Unfair, false attack on disciplined civil servant in fin min: Jaitley slams Swamy

Arun Jaitley @arunjaitley tweets in favour of Chief Economic Advisor Arvind Subramanian, who has been targetted by BJP MP Subramanian Swamy yesterday. Jaitley tweeted: "An unfair and false attack on a disciplined civil servant in the Finance Ministry."

Jaitley's tweet comes after he went on record at a press conference yesterday to say that the the BJP disagrees with its MP call of sacking Subramanian. "Government has full confidence in CEA Arvind Subramanian, he has provided valuable insights from time to time," the finance minister said.

Subramanian Swamy said the CEA should be sacked because he is anti-India. Swamy also made no secret of the fact that he thinks he's best suited to be India's finance minister.
