West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has ordered the state police to probe Narada sting operation and act according to law.

"The state government will conduct a probe in the matter. I want the truth to come out," Banerjee said.

Narada News, led by its editor-in-chief Matthew Samuel, released several videos of a sting operation showing senior Trinamool Congress, including some ministers, accepting money for getting works done.

The ruling party had dismissed the tapes as 'doctored' and said the dirty tricks departments of its political opponents were behind the 'smear' campaign.

Some of the senior Trinamool leaders who were caught in the sting operation include the then state cabinet ministers Subrata Mukherjee and Farhad Hakim. Senior party leaders Sultan Ahmed, Suvendu Adhikari, Sugata Roy, Iqbal Ahmed, Madan Mitra and Mukul Roy also featured in the sting video.
