Jaya in Delhi to meet Modi

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa has arrived in New Delhi on her first visit after her election victory, during which she is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

She was given a guard of honour by the Tamil Nadu Special Police contingent at the Tamil Nadu House.

At the meeting with Modi, she is likely to pitch for central assistance to development projects in the state. She is also likely to meet Union ministers Nirmala Sitharaman and Pon Radhakrishnan and discuss central schemes with them.
