Docs treating Orlando victims perform 54 surgeries

Doctors treating Orlando victims performed 28 surgeries on Sunday, eight operations on Monday, and eight more on Tuesday.

Orlando's Orange Regional Medical centre treated 44 patients, six of whom are considered critically ill.

'Many patients had multiple high-velocity gunshot wounds, and were transported to ORs immediately to stop the bleeding,' Orlando health, a not-for-profit network of community hospitals, tweeted.

The 49 victims who succumbed to their injuries were all identified by Monday evening.
