Mathura district magistrate, SP transferred in fallout over bloody clashes

Just in: Heads have started rolling after the Mathura clash. The District Magistrate and SSP have been transferred even as the death toll rose to 29.

District Magistrate Rajesh Kumar and the SSP were suspended from their posts due to lack of coordination while handling the violent clashes between the protestors and the cops.

The development comes shortly after a high-level meeting took place at Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav's official residence in Lucknow.
