NIA files chargesheet against suspected IS operative

The National Investigation Agency today filed a charge sheet against suspected Islamic State operative Mohammad Sirajuddin who was arrested by Anti-Terrorist Squad of Rajasthan police last year.

The chargesheet was filed in a special court by the NIA, the public prosecutor said. Sirajuddin, who worked as a marketing manager in Indian Oil Corporation, was not produced in court due to security reasons.

Arrested in December last year, he was accused of being involved in brainwashing Muslim youths through WhatsApp and Facebook and spreading the ideology of the international terrorist organisation IS.
