Bihar scribe killing: Cops take Shahabuddin aide on remand

The Bihar Police has taken Laddan Mian, the main conspirator in the killing of senior journalist Rajdeo Ranjan, on three-day remand to question him,officials said.

Laddan is said to be a close aide of jailed former Rashtriya Janata Dal MP Mohammad Shahabuddin.

A day after the Chief Judicial Magistrate court in Siwan district allowed the police to take Laddan on remand, the cops have taken him on three-day remand for interrogation, Siwan superintendent of police Saurabh Kumar said.

"A team of police officials has begun the interrogation of Laddan to know who directed him to kill Ranjan or was there any other motive behind it," police officials said.
