Announcing a partial resumption of production, country's largest car maker Maruti Suzuki India will start manufacturing vehicles from its Gurgaon plant from today.

The company, which had on Monday announced suspension of production due to fire at the factory of its component supplier Subros in Manesar, will resume manufacturing of vehicles at its Gurgaon facilities from second half of Wednesday.

"Certain operations in the Manesar campus, including casting and manufacture of transmissions, will also resume in the second half on Wednesday," MSI said in a statement.

MSI had to suspend operations at its facilities on Monday, owing to fire at the Manesar facilities of its supplier, Subros Ltd.

Subros Ltd and MSI are jointly working on options to obtain supply of components from other facilities and gradually bring operations back to normal, it added.
