Fresh batch of 515 pilgrims leaves for Amarnath

A fresh batch of 515 pilgrims today left for the twin base camps of the Amarnath cave shrine in south Kashmir Himalayas amidst tight security.

The batch comprising 367 men and 148 women left in 13 vehicles from the Bhagwati Nagar base camp in Jammu for Pahalgam and Baltal in Kashmir this morning, a police officer said.

Yesterday 1,115 pilgrims paid obeisance at the Holy Cave.

Till date, 2,12,822 people have have paid obeisance at the cave shrine.
