Have complaints about Mann's alcohol issue, says Speaker refusing apology

AAP MP Bhagwant Mann says he has met Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan and apologised. Is that good enough? The Speaker says, no. Read on.

Mann, speaking to reporters outside Parliament House said, "I met Speaker Madam. I told her that I must be given an opportunity to explain, my intention wasn't to risk security of Parliament. My intention was not to put security of the parliament at threat. I promise not to make this mistake again. I don't come to Parliament drunk. BJP should worry about security of Dalits."


Speaker Sumitra Mahajan says, "When he (Bhagwant Mann) met me, he said he's ready to apologise but this issue isn't something that can be resolved by mere apology. All Parliament members are agitated, issue won't be resolved by a simple apology. It's a matter of security of the Parliament. It's a serious issues. I'm talking to everyone on what action should be taken. I've got complaints about Mann's alcohol issue."
