Kashmir violence: Centre rushes 20 more CRPF teams

Curfew has been imposed in Kulgam, Anantnag, Tral, Kokernag and 7 police stations in Srinagar following clashes on Saturday during protests against the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist Burhan Wani.

At least 20 additional CRPF teams have been called in to control the situation in Kashmir where 11 people were killed on Saturday in clashes between security forces and protesters.

Wani was buried on Saturday in his home village Tral in Pulwama district in the presence of some 20,000 people who defied a curfew.

More than 120 people, majority of whom were security personnel, were injured, the police said.

Meanwhile, the separatists announced that they will continue their shutdown on Sunday and Monday too to protest the "killing spree by the Indian security forces".
