US, Russia expel diplomats over police attack in Moscow

Russia says it expelled two US diplomats after the US made a similar move following an incident involving a US diplomat and a security guard in Moscow.A Russian foreign ministry statement released Saturday said the Americans were expelled in June.

The statement by Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said that the expelled US embassy employees was declared "persona non grata' for "activities incompatible with their diplomatic status," accusing them of being CIA agents.
