Rahul to return to India tonight after 'short break' abroad

Rahul Gandhi's break time is over. The Congress vice president is returning to the country after his eight days of holidays. 


Rahul had tweeted about taking a short visit, but had not disclosed the location. His tweet sparked off speculation, with many trolling him for the timing of his trip - when there are severe problems within the party.

His visit came at a time when the Congress looking at bleaker times, with a bad showing in recent state elections and rebellions in its units, from Karnataka to Haryana. 

In early 2015, Rahul was away from India fuelling speculation of a political sanyaas, but after nearly three months he returned rejuvenated from his 'chintan' vacation and made aggressive bids to take on the Narendra Modi government.
