Hours after heavy gunfire and explosions rang out Saturday morning at an upscale restaurant at the heart of Bangladesh's diplomatic zone, Taslima Nasreen, a Bangladeshi author who is in exile in India, took to Twitter to comment on the attack.

Taslima took a jibe at Bangladeshi PM Sheikh Hasina saying while Islamic State claimed responsibility for the Dhaka attack, the PM was still sticking to her stand of no presence of the terrorist group in the country.

The acclaimed writer, who has earned the ire of Muslim leaders both in India and Bangladesh for her views on Islam, was also critical of the IS.
