Vice Admiral Sunil Lanba, has been appointed as the Flag Officer Commanding in Chief, Western Naval Command.

Lanba, who is the top contender for the post of Chief of Naval Staff of Indian Navy, will take charge as Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Western Naval Command.
