Kerala HC stays vigilance court order for FIR against Chandy

In a clear relief to Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and minister Arayadan Mohammed in what's known as the solar scam, the Kerala high court on Friday suspended the vigilance court order to register an FIR against the duo.

The high court said the vigilance court acted mechanically, "without knowing the nature and extent of its powers'.

Further details are awaited, but in the meantime, LiveLawIndia has tweeted: 'HC while considering the plea by Oomman Chandy, suggested action against Trissur vigilance court judge S S Vasan.
