SC makes new UP Lokayukta appointment

The Supreme Court has appointed Justice Sanjay Mishra, another former judge of Allahabad HC, as UP Lokayukta.

The SC recalled its earlier order appointing Justice Virendra Singh as UP Lokayukta. The SC termed as "unfortunate" the inabilitity of functionaries such as the CM and Chief Justice of HC to arrive at a name for the post of Lokayukta.
