The Sensex may be at a dismal 24,000 mark, a pre-Narendra Modi low, but BJP insiders can't stop bragging about the government's achievements.

They say the BJP netas to watch this year are Nitin Gadkari, Piyush Goyal and Nirmala Sitharaman.

Among them, Union Transport minister Gadkari, will be the star attraction after his success in laying 6548 km of road in 18 months.

Power and energy minister Goyal has to his credit made the coal and mining sector free of government controls, while the power sector is looking up. Summer 2016 is a test case for power generation and Goyal is confident of overcoming the crisis.

Commerce and Industries minister Sitharaman, despite her unassuming style has achieved with 'Make in India', 'Start up India' and the WTO talks - her goals. Party insiders say by year end her contribution to Make in India will be visible at the ground level. Interestingly, the RSS is keen on Nitin Gadkari's (who has risen from the ranks in the RSS) promotion, but the final call will be taken by the prime minsiter.
