Huge explosion heard outside Russian Embassy in Kabul; dozens feared dead

An explosion took place outside the Russian Embassy in Afghanistan's capital of Kabul on Wednesday, local media reported.

Russian embassy staff in Kabul told Sputnik "an explosion was heard clearly." A source in the Russian Foreign Ministry said that the embassy staff were not injured.

According to the recent reports, more than a dozen people may be dead and injured. Firefighters are currently battling fire in a building in front of the Russian embassy.
