Rahul Gandhi is on a mission to weed out journalists who are anti-Congress, say our sources. The Congress vice-president today had a meeting with news bureau heads of vernacular newspapers from the southern states.
But before extending an invitation to the press, his office asked media persons to email either their ID with the Press Information Buereau or with their newspapers. This is because Rahul does not want to give an audience to journalists who speak against his party or him.
Sources say that that the vetting process by Rahul Gandhi's office is unique as he recognises the faces of media persons who are pro BJP and against Congress.
This "photo-submission business" was the talk of the capital on Monday among both SPG men and mediapersons. Rahul is upset over the allegations of his British  citizenship though he has been crying hoarse telling whoever is willing to listen that he is an Indian citizen.
