PM Modi addresses conference of state agriculture ministers in Sikkim

PM Modi in his maiden visit to Sikkim spoke at the National Conference on Sustainable Agriculture & Farmers Welfare.

"Today I'm a guest of lakhs of Sikkim farmers. I haven't come here alone. Have come here with hope of farmers of nation," PM Modi said at the event.

"I have come here with agriculture ministers of all the states, and we have come here to discuss how to transform India's agriculture," he said.

"Sikkim has become a model for world by achieving new heights of development & ensuring conservation of environment at the same time," the prime minister said.

"Why can't we bring together work of all progressive farmers on online portal? So that everyone can know more about their work," he opined.
