ISIS represents a blind alley for the region: Obama
January 13, 2016  00:38
US President Barack Obama today said the dreaded Islamic State militant group that has gained control over a large part of Iraq and Syria represents a blind alley for the region.
"Ultimately, what ISIL represents is a blind alley for the region, and people will recognise that, the same way that over time they turned on Al Qaida because they saw that this doesn't lead anywhere," Obama said.

"I am absolutely confident we will have defeated ISIL. I don't think we have to wait until they (daughters) are 54 for that to happen," Obama said in response to a question if he believes his daughters in future will be living in a world that is dealing with the threat of radical Islam on a daily
basis.
