Sonia meets Mehbooba Mufti, offers condolences

Congress president Sonia Gandhi and party leader Ghulam Nabi Azad met People's Democratic Party president Mehbooba Mufti at the latter's residence in Srinagar on Sunday.

Azad said that their visit was just to offer prayers and condolences to the family of the late chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir Mufti Muhammad Sayeed.

"She visited for the long association Mufti sahib had with the family and the party," Azad said after the meeting.

Union minister Nitin Gadkari also reached at Muftis residence to meet her.
