-- India wants friendly relations with Pakistan. --
-- The  Pathankot attack has once again put renewed focus on the challenge of cross-border terrorism.
-- The ball is now in Pakistan's court. We have extended a hand of friendship with Pakistan but it doesn't mean that we tolerate cross border terrorism.
-- We are waiting for Pakistan's response on talks.
-- We have given actionable intelligence to Pakistan. It is for Pak to act now. We must have talks on terror.
-- We want prompt and decisive action from Pakistan. It has to act on evidence given by India.

The foreign secretary level talks were scheduled to be held on January 14-15. Swarup has refused to state whether the talks will be called off, stating that the government was adopting a wait-and-watch approach.
