Two MPs - Satyavrat Chaturvedi of the Congress and G Hari of the AIADMK -- have been sacked from the Press Council  of India for 'intentionally' abstaining from attending three meetings. The Press Council took note of their absence and initiated action to declare the seats vacant. A senior functionary of the Press Council wondered aloud what these MPs were up to and said that they don't think twice about disrupting parliament proceedings and have no respect for constitutionally created bodies like the Press Council.
