Vibrant democracy requires public debate uninhibited by political correctness: says RBI governor

Rajan decided to keep RBI's agenda on monetary policy aside, and instead, decided to speak about the makings of a liberal market democracy at DD Kosambi Ideas Festival held on February 20, 2015 in Goa.

Although the RBI governor refrained from making direct reference to any specific event he did say that 'Strong government does not mean one that is only militarily powerful or uses its intelligence apparatus to sniff out enemies of the state.'
