Riva Ganguly Das named as consul general to New York

Ambassador Riva Ganguly Das, currently India's envoy in Romania, will succeed Ambassador Dnyaneshwar Mulay as India's consul general in New York.

Ambassador Ganguly Das joined the Indian Foreign Service in 1986. She has served in Spain, Bangladesh, the Netherlands and Romania. She was India's consul general in Shanghai between 2008 and 2012.
