Patiala House violence: SC directs all parties to share reports
February 22, 2016  14:19
The Supreme Court on Monday directed all parties involved with the recent scuffles at the Patiala House court complex to share their reports and come to an appropriate finding which it would hear on March 10.

The apex court direction came four days after it had described the violence in the Patiala House court complex as "extraordinary circumstances" and had rejected a lawyer's contention that exceptional importance was being given to one case which would demoralise lower judiciary and police.

The reports that are to be shared include those prepared by the Registrar of the Delhi high court, a Supreme Court-appointed panel, the Delhi police, the Bar Council of India, the Delhi high court's administrative committee and a report prepared by the counsel of the accused.
