The Jat quota stir in Rajasthan has had a spillover effect on New Delhi, with water and power supply and road and rail transport being severely affected.

Another fallout is that the price of flight tickets between the national capital and Chandigarh have soared, since flights are the only way left to travel between the two cities.

The 45-minute flight between the two cities costs Rs 17,299 on Jet Airways' 12.40 pm flight today.

Spice Jet's 7.20 pm flight, as well as the next one 15 minutes later, will set you back by Rs 15,570.

The same is the case with Spice Jet which too has seen a steep increase in the fare of its Chandigarh-Delhi flight.

On Indigo, when we checked, there were no tickets available for today. Tomorrow's Chandigarh-Delhi flight will cost you Rs 14,400.

On Air India, all tickets have been sold out till February 25, and the earliest flight, available on February 26, will cost you Rs 6881.

Of course, all these ticket prices may see a further hike if the stir doesn't end quickly and normalcy restored.

Jaipur-Delhi flights are equally in demand, with no tickets available on Jet Airways. A Premium class ticket on this route, flying via Mumbai, costs, hold your breath, Rs 83,207.

What's interesting is that even at this steep price, only two tickets are left!
