February 15, 2016  20:59
A group of intellectuals and academicians today met Home Minister Rajnath Singh and sought a probe into the alleged anti-India activities in Jawaharlal Nehru University and Press Club of India and immediate action to ensure that such incidents do not recur.

In a memorandum, the intellectuals and academicians belonging to Delhi University, Indira Gandhi National Open University, advocates of Supreme Court and others, told Singh that the country was witnessing incidents where "anti-India, pro-terrorist slogans were heard, asking for disintegration of the country".

"Such incidents strengthen the hands of anti-national forces, enemies of the country and terrorists who are foes of humanity," the group's convenor Monika Arora said in the memorandum.

They told Singh to take immediate action against the "pro-terrorist, anti-national elements" so that they do not dare think about the disintegration of the country.
