JNU incident was backed by LeT Chief Hafiz Saeed: Rajnath Singh

"Whatever happened in JNU is extremely unfortunate," Home Minister Rajnath Singh said at a press conference about the arrest of the JNU student's body chief.

"Have said earlier also, anyone who raises anti-India slogans or tries to put question mark on national unity, will not be spared by this govt," the home minister clarified.

"Nobody should try to achieve political benefits from such incidents," Singh said making veiled reference on Rahul Gandhi.

"Nation must also accept the reality that incident that took place in JNU, has been approved by LeT Chief Hafiz Saeed.This is unfortunate," the home minister said.
