Jaya launches free Amma Drinking Water Scheme

As part of rolling out people friendly initiatives, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa today launched 'Amma Drinking Water Scheme' aimed at providing free mineral water for the poor and downtrodden. As a first step, drinking water dispensing units based onreverse osmosis technology would be installed in 100 localities that has large number of poor and downtrodden, she said.
