The panel of doctors of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences that conducted post-mortem on six-year-old Devansh has not ruled out sexual assault, contrary to Delhi police's claim that the report they have received prima facie does not indicate so.

"We have not yet submitted the final postmortem report on as to what caused the death of the boy. We are waiting for the investigation report from the police. We are not ruling out anything including possibility of sexual assault as of now," said a senior AIIMS doctor.

Delhi Police Commissioner B S Bassi said that the post-mortem report of Devansh, who was found dead in a water reservoir at Ryan International School in south Delhi, prima facie does not indicate any sexual assault.

Meanwhile, parents of Devansh welcomed the Delhi government's recommendation for a Central Bureau of Investigation probe into the incident, saying their hopes of getting justice have been strengthened.
