February 01, 2016  09:07
Rocked by protests over the suicide of PhD student Rohith Vemula, the University of Hyderabad will reopen on Monday.

The university is set to function normally from February 1. The registrar has confirmed the reopening of the university by issuing a circular in this regard.

However, the friends and supporters of the PhD scholar will continue their hunger strike outside the university to seek justice.

Also, three teachers of Hyderabad Central University had sat on a one-day hunger strike demanding that Vice-Chancellor Appa Rao Podile be removed and in-charge VC Vipin Srivastava step down, in order to resume academic and administrative activities.
