Salaries of govt employees may now be credited directly to account

Just as we wrap our head around another RBI U-turn on demonetisation, the government has proposed to bring an amendment to Section 6 of the Payment of Wages Act. This means the wages will be credited directly into the account of employees or paid by cheque with the existing provision in the current currency.
