Columnist Rajeev Sharma tells us: The winter session of Parliament was washed out over the demonetisation issue.

Interestingly, ever since 1977 whenever the winter session of Parliament has been washed out, the ruling party has been thrown out of power in the next general election.

Strange, but true.
